ABOUT THE COURSE
Our comprehensive course, meticulously designed and developed by Efoil South Africa, covers a wide range of essential topics for efoiling instruction and maintenance. From safety protocols to practical sessions and in-depth training, our program ensures that students acquire the knowledge and skills needed to confidently teach efoiling to yacht guests and maintain these advanced watercrafts.
Our 3-day instructor's course will be hosted at our dam in Devonbosch, Stellenbosch—an ideal location usable in all weather conditions. To prioritize safety and comfort, we provide all necessary equipment, including wetsuits, helmets, and impact vests. Our experienced instructors will be readily available to guide and assist throughout the course, ensuring a safe and enriching learning experience for all participants.

Morning Session:
- Introduction to efoiling and program breakdown
- Safety measures and briefing
- Handling, assembly, and setup of efoils
- Efoil controller operation and explanation
- On-land practice: Carrying and maneuvering efoils
- Cleaning and maintenance procedures
Afternoon Session:
- On-water practice: Efoil techniques on beginner boards
- Chest position and maneuvers
- Shifting to knees
- Kneeling position and maneuvers
- Weight shifting techniques for control and stability

- Building confidence in participants

- Mock lesson preparation: Assembling boards, setup, and safety checks

- Troubleshooting common issues
Afternoon Session:
- On-water practice:
- Advanced maneuver: Slalom corners on all efoil configurations
- Conduct a lesson with an instructor shadowing (role reversal)
- Post-lesson debrief and feedback
- End-of-course assessment and certification
